The Great Black Friday Sale

Huge thanks to the internet (and great friends), I was able to shop for the best Black Friday deals even though I’m not in the US.

These are just a few of the great steals from one major Black Friday destination. Marked down gadgets, electronics, toys, clothes, mattress and bed linens, kitchen stuffs…all are truly irresistible. It’s no wonder why people are all game and willing to camp out and fall in line in the wee hours of the morning just to be the first ones to storm the store and snag all these great stuffs.

As for my BF purchases, just wait and I’ll be blogging about them in a few. Mostly are kitchen stuffs. :)

Grocery Cart

Our grocery shopping is usually scheduled every two weeks. The husband do not bring packed lunch to work anymore and since our daily meals are being taken cared of by my in-laws (my SIL’s family and ours contribute to the daily market funds), our grocery cart is usually seen with these contents:

1. 1 can of Enfagrow-A milk (1 month supply)
2. 1 pack of ProKids diapers (36 pcs)
3. Yakult
4. Yogurt
5. Fruitini Vegetable and Fruit Drinks
6. Champorado and Arroz Caldo ready to cook powder
7. Variety of Oatmeal flavors (in sachets)
8. Hotcake Mix
9. 2 large packs of Fabric Softeners
10. 4 bars (of 4) detergent
11. Various canned goods: tuna, sardines, corned beef, meatloaf
12. Biscuits, breads and cookies
13. Rice Cereals
14. My Anlene Milk
15. Dishwashing liquid
16. Del Monte Pineapple Juice in ready to drink cans

Actually, they’re more of for the little one’s food and daily supplies. We have a certain grocery budget and we try to stick to it no matter what.

Lately, we try to limit the bulk so we can go with our easy-to-maneuver cart around the home appliance and furniture section. It’s a must-visit section as we prepare for our own house that’s being constructed. Last weekend, tv stands were our target. It would have been great to canvass but it’s undeniable that window shopping can be depressing too especially if you know that the prices displayed are simply unaffordable and there’s nothing left for you to do but just drool.

Yuletide Season.

Tomorrow’s the first day of December and as early as now, I can’t help but feel the Yuletide Holidays already. The countdown to Christmas is much easier to monitor now..it’s just 25 days away. The whole family is eagerly looking forward to our yearly Christmas getaway in 27 days. As usual, Baguio is our Holiday destination. We’ve originally wished for a ski vacation but it’s just too impossible to push through for this year. Talk about financial crisis and meager savings. But we’ll still keep wishing because who knows, it’ll be a Christmas dream that will unfold not now but perhaps next year.

*Hachoo*

I’ve been through a whirlwind of weekend events and activities over the weekend and I think I need to look for some sort of medical assistance program now because I’m feel so exhausted and sick. I’ve been sniffling for two days now and I feel like my sinus and my head are about to explode. They feel so heavy and my body’s just yearning to lie still and rest. BUT, online works have piled up over the last couple of days that I wasn’t able to go online so I don’t have a choice but work in front of my laptop with a box of tissue by my side.

*Hachoo!*

Ooopps..sorry..I don’t meant to spread the virus.

What Thanksgiving Side Dish Are You?

You Are Gravy

You may not think of yourself as an exciting person, and it’s true that you’re quite ordinary when you’re all alone.

But when you get with a group, you really come alive. You tied everything together nicely.

On the rare occasion that you’re cold, you are a completely different person – unappetizing and practically cruel.

Luckily, you are naturally are warm-hearted and mellow. You can take a boring, dry situation and turn it into something comforting.

What an interesting result. It’s just perfect for my favorite mashed potato. I could say that the personality notes are partly true but I beg to disagree on the cruel part because I’m actually the “softy” type – the entire opposite. I rarely get mad and I’m not the hysterical type who gets physical and hurt other people or toss things like office supplies or anything that I get hold of. Speaking of Thanksgiving, what will you serve on your dinner table tonight? Are you ready to gobble, gobble, gobble?
