Vacation Soon

Winter may still be heavily felt in most parts of the world, but it’s never too early to start planning for Spring and Summer activities which actually commences in about two months time. These are the perfect times to go on a picnic, have a grand vacation in the beach or in one of the homey units of Outer Banks vacation rentals, hiking and trailing or even just a long road trip across the state. It’s the perfect time to bond with the family and it’s much more enjoyable if it’ll be one food-overloaded-trip. So what are your usual picnic foods on the road?

Better Cook Soon.

One of the resolutions I made for this year is that I’ll be more domesticated now in its true sense. I realized that being a work at home mom shouldn’t be a hinder in being a full time homemaker. So when we’ll transfer to our little mansion in two months time and we’ll be finally on our own, I will really try to manage time and see to it that I will be the one to cook and not the house maid. In fact, I’ve started this pursuit. My craze is on for collecting recipes! For now, they are in a box together with my collections of received wedding invitations but I will organize them soon in a scrapbook type. I will also subscribe next month to a local food magazine and will start filling my little library with more cook books. Wish me luck in my attempt to become a better cook.

Overweight.

This morning, the husband unearthed the old and already rusty weighing scale. It happened that his 18 year old brother passed by so they dared each other to weigh and once and for all, the truth be known who’s heavier among them. Dear husband is slightly taller than his brother but the latter’s built is slightly wider. They were both laughing at each other when they weighed…170 lbs and 190 lbs. Well, I’m not divulging which is which because they might read this and get mad. Hehe! But there’s one realization they’ve made, they need to research about home gyms and how to install one. I agree they do need one to cut off those excessive fats. I’ve got the last laugh this morning as they are both overweight. :D

One Swipe.

Hubby and I once in a while dine out especially when there’s a special occasion or event to celebrate. When we were still dating in college, we always have our lunch either in our favorite fast food chain near the school or in a mall restaurant. Since we were just relying to our meager allowances then, often we pig out on just budget meals. But now, it’s totally much different. Since we’re now financially capable and have plastic cards (to swipe if the establishment has credit card processing terminals) to boot, we can now afford to eat even at the finest restaurants in town. Speaking of credit cards, I have noticed that some fast food chains in the country like KFC and Mcdonald’s have started accepting such mode of payment as well as debit cards. This really has a great advantage because you need not carry around much cash and it all it takes is just one swipe.

Addiction Resurrected.

I think I have shared already here my addiction before with Facebook’s Cafe World game. But it apparently halted when my account got messed up at one time. The withdrawal process was so abrupt and easy..well, I didn’t have a choice. I didn’t open it up for quite some time until I thought of trying out a few months later. Voila, it’s all fixed and it’s up and running again. Now, I’m leveling up pretty fast and has earned thousands of coins that will enable me to upgrade my resto furniture, structure and flooring. I just wish though that the developer, Zynga, feature more nice decorations like more door designs, windows, tables etc. Of course, a lot would love to see more new recipes (and probably phentermine for the customers because of their endless appetite LOL). Perhaps, if they can make the simulation such as that of The Sims, the better. Are you also a Cafe World fanatic?
