Time Flies.
Summer days are here again. Aside from the tormenting afternoon heat, another indication that summer’s here is when students wrap up the school year and brace themselves for another fun and exhilarating summer break.
My 7 year old nephew attended his last first grade day the other day. Aside from getting excited over the summer activities that her Mom lined up for him, he’s also feeling ecstatic (as early as now) about starting the next school year in three months time. By then, he’ll be in second grade and will be receiving communion invitations within the year. Wow, I’m blown away how fast he’s grown. It’s like it was just yesterday when he was born and now the next thing I know, he’s graduating from grade school. As the cliche goes, time flies by really fast without you noticing it.
