Approved Finally

I was searching for more recipes on the web when apparently I was lead to a blog post that stresses the importance of having a health insurance, social security, a Medicare plan or as what we refer to as HMO when I was still in the workforce.  It’s actually about a lady’s plight when she met an accident and they have to amputate her legs.   Since she’s already disabled and could not function well in her previous work, she was forced to resign.  She’s fortunate that the disability appeal she filed through Allsup was approved.  She got denied by SSA the first time she applied but thankfully, Allsup helped her get through with the appeal.

Food Over Gold

"If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world." – JRR Tolkien.

This quote is indeed right and meaningful.  Of course, the term gold there does not pertain to gold coins, gold bars or gold bullions figuratively.  For me, this means that above all other material things, we must regard and value more the food that we need to eat over our whims and fancies.  After all, we need food to live and carry on with our daily lives, right?  But of course, it doesn’t say that we should just disregard our hard earned gold.  We also need financial power to buy food.  It’s actually a cycle but the emphasis is on the intensity of valuation and putting importance on.

Calling all the Tempura lovers like me, I’m sure you’d be ready to storm Dad’s/Saisaki/Kamayan Restaurants and might even turn the door knob shaking and shivering because of much excitement.

On August 26, 2010, Saisaki will be holding a one day Tempura Eat All You Can promo across all branches.  For just Php 330, one can devour unlimited tempura served with soup, rice and iced tea, all in.  This is also already VAT inclusive and no service charge will be further imposed.  I’m not so into Japanese raw foods so Tempura and California Maki are the only Jap dishes that my taste buds can tolerate.  In fact, Tempura is a staple whenever I dine at Tokyo Tokyo.  Check out more info about the promotion here.
