Summer time is synonymous to tubs of ice cream, halo-halo, cream cakes and more to beat the heat.  Too bad, I learned about this offering from San Miguel Great Food Club just now.  This should have been the perfect opportunity to learn how to make my own sweet, cool treats so that I can whip up and enjoy anytime right at the comfort of my home or who knows, could have been a start of a great business, too.  I wonder if they will hold another demo class similar to this in the next few weeks.

Because of its natural exfoliating wonders, the calamansi fruit, aside from being a good source of Vitamin C through its extract, can also be used as natural body acne treatments.  I first heard it from a local actress who applies the extract everyday during her bath time.  She says it doesn’t only whiten the skin but it serves as an exfoliant as well so body acne is prevented or eradicated.  In some local spa houses, their treatment consists of ginger and calamansi for better effectivity.  Ginger has a heat generating property so it balances the internal energy while calamansi roughs of the dead skin.
