Beard Papa’s Cream Puff Craving

image

Beard Papa’s “fresh and natural” cream puffs are among my recent pregnancy cravings.  Every time we’re at SM The Block in the last few months, it’s a must that I stop by at the stall and buy at least a couple of their eclairs.  So what I love about their cream puffs:

1.) Crispy, crunchy shell

2.) Vanilla custard that was perfectly made just right – not overly rich and has the right amount of sweetness

3.) Eclair toppings aren’t that sweet, too.

4.) It’s simply addictive.

Too bad, I only get to taste this treat when we’re at The Block.  How I wish there’s a technology that could give you a Beard Papa’s cream puff or any food of your choice with the click of a remote control at home or by just adjusting your outdoor tv antennas and the food will come out of the TV.  Whew! That’s how extreme my imagination is…I must be craving that bad already.

Grilled Chicken Caesar Focaccia Sandwich

Glad I checked my stash of group buying site vouchers last month or else, my Cashcashpinoy’s CPK deal would have just gone to waste.  I wouldn’t have also feasted on this mouth-watering Grilled Chicken Caesar Focaccia Sandwich which was quite heavy to the tummy.

image The moment we entered the CPK doors in Trinoma filled with posters of their promos and a no smoking or no cigar sign, I knew that we would go out those same doors with overly stuffed tummies and pleasantly satisfied taste buds after.

This Focaccia Sandwich consists of Grilled chicken, shaved Parmesan, lettuce and tomatoes in Caesar dressing.  In addition to this we ordered carbonara for the little one and six slices of their Five-Cheese and Fresh Tomato Pizza.  Just blogging about this CPK experience makes my mouth water and crave again for pizza, pasta and sandwich from CPK!

Crepe Cravings Satisfied!

I was one happy preggy wife when the husband treated me to an afternoon crepe delight at Cafe Breton last weekend.

image I have actually been craving for these for weeks now so just imagine how I was so elated as soon as the server put down the huge servings of our La Pinay and Deja Vu crepes on our table.  I actually pitied her because she’s on the petite side and the plates were kinda heavy.  For a second, I thought she’d be needing medical step stools just so she can reach the table.  LOL.  Of course, that’s an exaggeration. I gave her my sweetest smile for not making my agony prolonged by serving it fast.  Just in a few seconds later, my taste buds were caressing the tastiest combination of mango, special cream sauce, caramel syrup, vanilla ice cream…yummy!

Manila Ocean Park’s Biggest Food Fest

image

If you’re up to having a gastronomic weekend, I suggest that you make this Food Fest at Manila Ocean Park your destination.  Foodies and culinary enthusiasts are invited to join as there will be not just one Tradeshow booth but lots of booths in the Food Bazaar.  Cooking demos, raffles and games, variety shows and mini-concert will also be held to make the event more engaging and exciting.  As it’s going to be held at Manila Ocean Park, this event will also be for the whole family.  After touring the oceanarium, the whole clan can engage in a diet-breaking food trip through this food fest.

Gifts for Grandparents

I was so ecstatic when I learned that my folks will be coming home for a short 2-weeks vacation on November.  This is in time with my delivery to my second child.  Actually, that’s their primary reason why they’re flying back home.  Considering that my Dad has just consumed his 1 month vacation leave last June, I really find it sweet that they’ll be going home again in a few weeks time just to see their third grandchild.  Now I’m thinking of grandparent presents to give as our way of showing our appreciation and my daughter’s way of saying thanks for their love and fondness of her.

My Mom loves cooking so probably I can give her a Recipe Photobook or a customized Apron that she can don while preparing meals in the kitchen.  I can probably have the words “Best Grandma Cook” printed on it.

Or I can have my kids’ pictures printed and place them in photo frames such as below that can be found at RedEnvelope.

This Family Keepsake Quilt looks very nice, too.
