That is why informal business meetings are sometimes preferred to be held in coffee shops because of the ambiance and the caffeine kicks.

So what particular business topic that is nice to talk about over a cup of coffee? I’d say investments like precious metals specifically, gold. Investor and precious metal experts always reiterate that now is ALWAYS the perfect time to buy gold bullion. Despite the world recession, unpredictable trends of the commodity market, fluctuating currency values and wavering interest rates, gold is the safest metal to invest on. Simply because the value does not change at all. It’s not surprising to see that a lot of investors are going after this metal.

An abroad-based aunt recently ventured into a food business. Well, it’s not really big but the size is just enough for a startup and one that can take her passion in cooking to the next level. She really loves to cook and making new recipes (with concentration on Asian and Pinoy cuisines) and not to mention a good appetite, too. That’s why her family are all big-bodied because of their being hearty eaters.

The last time I heard about her is that she’s looking for an independent firm that can do the accounting works for her. I hope she pursued contracting the services of KondlerCPA, a Las Vegas accounting firm that is well known for providing superb accounting and financial business solutions to big and small enterprises. The industry of bars and restaurants are one of their expertise so I’m pretty sure that KondlerCPA is the answer to her business needs.

In my Entrepreneurship class in college, our professor taught us that the food business will always be a promising venture no matter how bad the economy can become. Well, for the simple logic that people have to eat every single day of their lives. However, the competition in the food industry can also be competitive, thus, it is imperative that entrepreneurs must think of innovative yet reasonably priced food products to suit the preferences and purchasing means of the people.

In order for a food business to outlast its competitors, the business location is always a critical factor. That’s when franchising opportunities stand out because the franchisee is freed from the hassle of scouring the best and ideal location. If opting for a non-franchised business, an entrepreneur can still make the most out of a certain location as long as he deals with a reliable commercial real estate firm like the Commercial Real Estate Kentucky. Haymaker/Bean is one of the leading full-service real estate companies in Lexington and Central Kentucky that focuses in Property Management, Tenant Representation and other specialized brokerage services.

There’s so much to learn before one decides to venture in a food business. But having the persistence, guts and the confidence to invest is already a good start.

I think this is the most used word I’ve been hearing in this household especially from my in laws who are indeed so good with thrift practices in every possible way and detail they could. Truly, the world is experiencing financial hard times where inflation is a common trend almost every month. Prices of gas and basic commodities are shooting up constantly. The peso to dollar conversion has been stable within the range of 45-50 but this is not a good indication that our economy is doing better. I think most people realize the value of saving and a lot actually practice it. As much as possible, people refrain from spending and just make the ends meet by whatever they have. But since it is most of the time inevitable to spend in our daily living, we don’t have a choice but shell out the least amount of money that we have. There is a thing called frugal shopping or wise spending and this actually is a great move to sustain our finances.

However, in order to survive in these economic hard times, saving or practicing frugal shopping aren’t enough. We may have our stable jobs and income every 15th and 30th of the month but we can’t fully feel its effect or presence. That is why a lot of financial experts advises that we find other means to derive additional income. Aside from accepting a second job or freelance projects, one good way to address this concern is to make investments, particularly investing in precious metals.

Way back college years where we discuss about the the commodity market in our Business subjects, I recall my professor saying that gold investment is the most promising of all precious metals for the reason that it never devaluates no matter what the world economy’s condition is. It can withstand the inflation, recession and any other political or financial turmoil that might surface. There are various online gold dealers in the market and one of the most sought after and relied greatly upon is Monex. Having been in the business for more than four decades, their services on coin dealing and precious metals investment have been remarkable to many hobbyists and investors.
